Walk for Life 2016

This year we are excited to join with the group "Walk for Life Northwest"!

Their Mission: To encourage all people to stand firmly for life and help change the heart of our nation.

To peacefully, prayerfully protest Roe vs. Wade, the January 22, 1973 Supreme Court ruling legalizing abortion, in the streets of downtown Spokane.

Their Goal: To bring large numbers of people out in support of a pro life culture.

To shed light on the truth about abortion and the damage it does to women, men and society.

To help women and men hurt by abortion to find healing.

So, consider joining with Lifeline Ministries and Walk for Life Northwest on January 16th!

The event will feature the following individuals during a Rally beginning at 11am. There will be a stage set up on Spokane Falls Blvd., in front of Riverfront Park, between the runners and the fountain.

The Rally will be followed at 12pm, by a peaceful and prayerful half mile march around downtown. (See map at bottom)

Walter Hoye

Keynote speaker WALTER B. HOYE II travels around the country and the world, full time, to convey a unique pro-life message only he can share. He is a widely requested speaker who addresses the “Pro-Life Movement” with special emphasis on the impact of “Abortion in the Black America”, “Personhood” and the “Role of Men Meeting the Physical and Spiritual Needs of Women”. Walter strongly believes … “The church must be reminded that it is not the master or the servant of the state, but rather the conscience of the state. It must be the guide and the critic of the state, and never its tool. If the church does not recapture its prophetic zeal, it will become an irrelevant social club without moral or spiritual authority.” — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Strength to Love, 1963.

As a National Black Pro-Life leader, Walter speaks for those who have no voice, understands that abortion takes the life of a child, an innocent human being, views the woman and child as one and demands men embrace their biblical roles as protector and provider.

As regional coordinator for Silent No More, KATHY GONZALES shares her personal abortion testimony at pro-life events. Through her testimony, she hopes to provide insight into the journey that leads to abortion, the trauma involved, and the devastating aftermath of shame and guilt that follows the abortion. She also wants to convey that abortion is not “just” about the woman and her right to choose. Abortion not only murders a child, but creates a “shockwave” throughout our society. Most importantly, she shares how our Savior Jesus Christ can lead all of us to His healing grace.

SNM Frances Mack

As a regional coordinator for Silent No More, FRANCES MACK shares a reality of abortion that is in stark contrast to the lies of the secular media and Planned Parenthood. She shares her knowledge of the wounds caused by the decision to end the life of a human in the earliest stages of his or her life development. Her testimony speaks to the power of the healing ministries available to anyone who carries those wounds, and the transformational healing found in an ever merciful Savior Jesus Christ.

KATHERINE THRASHER is a nursing student at Gonzaga University who is deeply passionate about the pro-life mission. Helping start a youth pro-life group at sixteen years of age, she continues to be an activist. She currently volunteers as a sidewalk counselor with Sidewalk Advocates for Life, is a member of Gonzaga Students for Life, and promotes the availability and access to resources for women in crisis pregnancies.

Recognizing the atrocity that some human persons are denied the right to live, Katherine strives to educate, encourage, and mobilize all people, especially the younger generation, to advance the pro-life cause.
